ROV Services

Overview

The S³ ROV fleet presently consists of two Triton XLS 150hp systems numbers 44 and 51 and two Triton XLX 150hp systems numbers 16 and 17.  Units are all 150hp vehicles, rated to 3,000metres and equally capable of operating in shallow water and in strong currents.  These top of the range systems provide a high quality platform to undertake all manner of Intervention and Subsea survey activities including:

  • Offshore oil & gas construction support
  • Pipeline commissioning and stabilisation
  • Subsea production planned and un-planned intervention
  • Drill support
  • Alternative energy infrastructure installation works
  • Field abandonment and decommissioning

Resources

The four Triton 150hp systems were specifically selected by S³ to form the core of our ROV fleet to undertake the wide range of work scopes required for oil and gas support and alternative energy cable installation services.

The S3 Triton XLS and XLX systems are fully modular in configuration, allowing greater flexibility of installation options and as a result highly efficient installations and demobilisations, saving Clients time and money (small footprint for a 3,000meter rated workclass).

Each ROV system features a very powerful workclass vehicle with a compact top hat TMS which helps to reduce overall drag providing a high level of tether control and deployment.  Each Triton XLS and XLX provides as standard an additional payload in excess of 150kg with all standard equipment fitted.  In addition, the ROV frame, like the complete deployment system and TMS which is rated to 3G operation (sea-state 6), has the capacity to carry additional larger and heavier under-slung work packages, such as survey sensors, intervention tooling, dredges and fluid injection skids.

Standard features are:

  • Auto-station keeping (ROV DP System)
  • Integral Survey data and video multiplexer using dedicated  fibre-optic transmission system (in addition to the ROV control mux)
  • Schilling 7  function 'master/slave' and TA60 5 function manipulators
  • IHPU (independent hydraulic power units), provides 'dirty work pack facility'  for 3rd party tooling
  • Multi-function hydraulic valve packs including high flow proportional valves for tooling operations
