Rapid response mobilisation leads to year long contract

Challenge:

Client contact received on a Friday afternoon requiring a work class ROV by return for vessel based operations in the southern North Sea.

Solution:

S³ loaded and despatched one of their work class ROVs, a Triton XLS, that evening.  The ROV was delivered to the vessel in Sheerness the next morning and was operational offshore the following Tuesday.  The performance of the ROV and service provided by S³ was so successful that the ROV remained on the vessel for a full year, providing support to complex pull-in operations in two major windfarm developments off the East coast UK coastline.  The operations were conducted in challenging conditions with near zero visibility and strong currents.  S³ provided a number of innovative operation solutions to improve the efficiency of the work.

This solution saved the Client significant operational costs, both in the rapid response to the initial requirement while providing efficient operational techniques in an emerging and new market.
